Reservations are now open for Jules, the UK's first plug-in solar and battery system.
Solar is the cheapest energy source in the UK. But with only one in ten households using it, most people haven't felt the benefit.
The biggest barrier is cost and roof space:
Solar panel installation costs upwards of £7,000 and that's if you have the appropriate roof space to host them.1 For most renters and flat owners, solar energy is out of the question.
Jules is designed to solve this problem.
- Jules uses advanced machine learning to reduce your bills. It uses solar forecasts, your household's usage, and live prices to decide when to store power and when to use it.
- The 2.5 kWh battery stores your spare solar power when prices are low. Jules keeps the surplus so you can use it later, when energy is more expensive. This can save you hundreds of pounds a year on your energy bills.
- On cloudy days, when your panels generate less, Jules can also charge from the grid when electricity is cheapest.
Jules could reduce household energy bills by up to £330 per year when you purchase four plug-in solar panels.
- Works out of the box: Your battery, tariff and 24/7 support all come from Fuse, in one app.
- Looks good in your home: This isn't a bulky grey box you'll want to hide. Jules is designed to look good in your home.
- Cleaner energy: Storing power and using it in the evening peak means you use more of your own solar and less of the grid's most expensive, highest-demand power.
Jules by Fuse will be available from £199. Further pricing details here.
The system is controlled by Fuse-developed battery management software and combines:
- a battery
- up to four panels (each 500W)
- the Fuse app
- one of the cheapest energy tariffs on the market
Jules doesn't require roof space, allowing renters and flat owners to also benefit.
Jules by Fuse is available for reservation now. First deliveries expected in 2027. Delivery dates are subject to UK plug-in solar and battery legislation coming into force. Reserve now.
